Robbery of USPS Letter Carrier
Medford, MA – On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at approximately 11:40 a.m., a USPS letter carrier was delivering mail in the vicinity of Arden Road and Winthrop Street in Medford, MA, when physically attacked by several unidentified suspects. The suspects robbed the letter carrier before fleeing on foot.
The letter carrier is being treated at a local hospital for injuries received in this attack. The injuries, while significant, are not believed to be life-threatening.
“The U.S. Postal Inspection Service takes the safety and security of USPS employees seriously and will spare no resource to bring to justice those who commit these heinous acts against Postal Service employees,” said Inspector in Charge Ketty Larco-Ward.
