Paterson, NJ: ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY OF USPS LETTER CARRIER

The suspect was described as a Black male with a thin build and approximately 5'10" tall. At the time of the incident, the suspect wore a gray sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black and white sneakers, and a black mask. The bicycle depicted in the above images was used by the suspect both before and after the incident. The suspect was last seen fleeing towards the area of Clinton Street, between N. 1st Street and Garfield Avenue in Paterson, NJ immediately after the incident. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect involved in the attempted armed robbery of a U.S. Postal Service (USPS) letter carrier on July 28, 2023, at approximately 4:10 p.m., in the vicinity of 197 Liberty Street, Paterson, NJ 07502.
