Downers Grove, IL: ROBBERY OF A USPS LETTER CARRIER

The first suspect was described as a Black male, approximately 5’8”-5’10” tall, weighing 150-160 lbs., with a slim build, 22 to 27 years old. His hair was shorter on sides of his head, and was described as wearing a light blue square surgical mask and light blue surgical latex gloves, entirely black “aviator” style sunglasses, a plain black tee shirt, and dark jeans. The second suspect was described as a Black male, approximately 5’5”-5’7” tall, weighing 160-170 lbs., 22 to 27 years old, with small twisted dreadlocks. He was described as wearing a light blue square surgical mask and light blue surgical latex gloves, clear lens glasses, a plain white tee shirt, and light blue jeans. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) is offering a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) who committed an armed robbery of a United States Postal Service (USPS) letter carrier that occurred on September 3, 2022 at approximately 3:15 p.m., on the 1800 block of Hastings Avenue, Downers Grove, IL 60151.
