How We Do It

A Specialized Agency, Focused on Our Goal.

Postal Inspectors work tirelessly to protect the mail while building cases against anyone who misuses it. Postal Inspectors and Postal Inspection Service staff gather information, collect and analyze evidence, and build cases. Assisting with this mission are other law enforcement partners who help pursue cases and the U.S. Attorneys’ offices and local prosecutors who help bring criminals to justice.
