Man Arrested, Charged with Mail Theft, Illegal Possession of a Mail Key, and Bank Fraud
CINCINNATI, OHIO – On October 4, 2023, a joint investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Delhi Township Police Department, and Cincinnati Police Department led to the arrest of Dametris Samuels, 23, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Samuels has been identified as a suspect in ongoing mail theft activity in Delhi Township and surrounding Cincinnati area by Postal Inspectors and Delhi Township Police Department.
Samuels was charged with a thirteen-count indictment by a federal grand jury through the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio that included Conspiracy to Commit Mail Theft, Theft of Mail Matter, Illegal Possession of a Mail Key, and Bank Fraud. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service appreciates the assistance of the Delhi Township Police Department, the Cincinnati Police Department, as well as the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of Ohio throughout this investigation.
