Chicago Woman Arrested, Charged for Burglaries, Mail Theft from Area Apartments
Chicago – On July 10, 2023, a joint investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Chicago Police Department led to the arrest of Tracy Ratliff, 46, of Chicago, IL. Ratliff was identified as a suspect responsible for multiple apartment and condominium burglaries and subsequent mail thefts in Chicago throughout 2023.
Ratliff was charged with 13 felonies in Chicago, IL by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Among the charges were eight counts of burglary and one count of possessing burglary tools. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service appreciates the assistance of the Chicago Police Department, specifically the 19th District robbery, burglary, and theft detectives and the 20th District tactical officers, and the Cook County Sheriff’s Office in this investigation.
