Postal Inspectors and the Department of Justice announce three residents of Lima, Peru pleaded guilty to extortion for overseeing a ring of call centers that threatened and extorted Spanish-speaking victims in the United States. Two defendants admitted their call centers contacted U.S. consumers, many of whome were elderly and vunlerable, using Internet-based calls.
