REWARD: Postal carrier robbed at gunpoint in East Oakland

OAKLAND — A U.S. Postal Service employee was unhurt after getting robbed at gunpoint in an East Oakland neighborhood, authorities said Tuesday. Around 2:30 p.m., the carrier was working in the 2000 block of 34th Avenue in the city’s Peralta Hacienda neighborhood when a person with a gun approached, said Inspector Jeff Fitch, a spokesman for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the postal service’s law-enforcement division.
